Each Cat’s Pride Club member is eligible to nominate one animal welfare organization per year to receive donated litter through the Litter for Good Program. Members can find a shelter in their community by using our search feature and entering their zip code. Make sure to complete your Shelter Profile. You’ll make your shelter easier to find and help members nominate you with a single click!

You can increase your chances of receiving more nominations in a number of ways. Having a fully completed Shelter Profile, including pictures, description, contact information and social media links, is a great way to make your organization really stand out. You can also download sample emails, social media posts and other resources from your shelter manager page to spread the word and ask for nominations. Additionally, you can customize and share your shelter profile page with your supporters.

Every 3-5 months, we evaluate how many new nominations a registered animal welfare organization has received, as well as the number of green jugs sold, to determine how much litter Cat’s Pride will donate to that organization. Shelters who are due to receive litter will be contacted via email with a litter coordination form to complete and information on how to retrieve their donation. Donated litter can be claimed at any Cat’s Pride plant or warehouse. Or the shelter can pay to have it shipped by a third-party freight company directly to their door.

Through the Litter for Good program, your organization can either pick-up the litter at one of our plants or warehouses or pay for third-party freight to deliver. Cat’s Pride has plants and warehouses located in Mounds, IL, Mansfield, MA, Liverpool, NY, Ripley, MS, Thomasville, GA, Portland, OR and Taft, CA. Please note, availability of donated product in these locations is subject to change.

Cat’s Pride does not have freight capabilities located in-house. Therefore, we work with third-party freight companies to deliver your litter donations. Third-party freight costs are subject to change based on weight, distance, driver availability, time of year and fuel prices. When it is time to coordinate your litter donation, Cat’s Pride will provide a detailed freight estimate for your review and approval.
